Alopi Devi Mandir is a unique Shaktipeeth where there is no idol of any Goddess. Instead, a wooden carriage (Doli) is worshipped. It is believed that the fingers of Goddess Sati's hands fell here, but they disappeared (Alop), hence the name Alopi.
