2026 Ganadhipa Sankashti Chaturthi
According to the Amanta Hindu calendar, Krishna Paksha Chaturthi of Kartika month (Purnimanta Margashirsha month) is celebrated as day of Ganadhipa Sankashti. A one-day fast is observed on the day of Ganadhipa Sankashti. On this day, Ganadhipa form of Lord Ganesha is worshipped. Ganadhipa means the ruler of Ganas or the lord of Ganas.
According to the Ganadhipa Sankashti Katha, Lord Hanumana observed this fast on the instructions of Pakshiraja Sampati. It was due to the influence of this virtuous fast that Hanumana Ji crossed the vast ocean. By worshipping Ganesha Ji with full devotion and fasting on the day of Ganadhipa Sankashti, even the most unlikly wishes are fulfilled.
