Puja
On the fourth day of Navratri in 2025, i.e., on 26 September 2025, devotees should worship Maa Kushmanda with devotion. Maa Kushamanda is known as the fourth form among the Navadurga. Scriptures say that Maa is the Goddess of the Universe. When the entire cosmos was filled with darkness, Maa created the universe with her gentle smile and divine willpower. That is why people call her Kushmanda.
The form of Maa Kushamanda is highly divine. She has eight arms in which she holds a kamandalu (water pot), bow, arrow, lotus flower, nectar pot, discus, and mace. Maa also carries a rosary of siddhis. She resides in the solar sphere, and the radiance of the sun comes from her energy.
The manifestation of Maa Kushmanda remains extremely mysterious. When there was nothing in this creation, the divine cosmic energy took the form of a woman. That woman was Maa Kushamanda. Some legends say that Maa created the universe with her smile. After that, Maa expanded herself into the forms of Mahakali, Mahasaraswati, and Mahalakshmi. When the entire creation came into existence, Maa entered the solar sphere.
Devotees worship Maa Kushmanda on the fourth day of Navratri. Maa blesses her devotees with desired boons even with minimal worship and devotion. With her grace, one gains longevity, fame, wealth, and children. If someone seeks maximum benefits in less time, they should pray to Maa Kushamanda. As the Mother of the Universe, she bestows all forms of happiness at once. Maa’s grace removes even the most severe diseases. If business does not progress or life lacks fame, worshipping Maa Kushmanda brings prosperity. With her blessings, all defects related to planet Mercury disappear.
