• The worship of Goddess Matangi should be conducted at night, preferably after 9 PM.
• Begin by taking a bath and wearing clean, red clothing.
• Sit in a quiet room facing the west, on a red mat or cushion.
• Set up a wooden platform (chowki), sprinkle some Ganga water on it to purify, and cover it with a red cloth.
• Light a pure ghee lamp in front of the Goddess’s image, and offer red flowers.
• Chant the Matangi Kavach during the worship, which is highly auspicious on this day.
