Powerful Mantras for the Nine Planets: Jap Rules and Benefits

When the inauspicious results of the planets are experienced, chanting mantras, stotras, or kavachas can bring favorable outcomes. While chanting the planet’s mantras, stotras, or kavachas, it is more beneficial to face the direction of the respective planet. If possible, sitting on a seat of the planet’s material or color and using a corresponding mala is ideal. If for some reason this is not possible, chanting can be done facing the east during the day (from sunrise to sunset) and the north at night (from sunset to sunrise). For Saturn and Rahu, it is considered best to chant in the dark or at night while facing the west. Generally, Rudraksha malas, kusa seats, or blankets can be used for any mantra chanting.

 

 

Chanting Time for Mantras:

• Chant the Sun and Jupiter mantras at sunrise.
• Chant the Mars and Mercury mantras at noon.
• Chant the Rahu mantras during the evening.
• Chant the Ketu mantras during Brahma Muhurta or early morning.
• Chant the Saturn mantras at night (from sunset to sunrise).
