Lord Vishnu, also revered as Narayan or Shri Hari, is the sustainer of the universe among the Holy Trinity — Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer. Narayan symbolizes the eternal power that protects and preserves dharma. His worship brings balance, peace, and prosperity to the devotee's life.
The word Narayan is derived from “Nara” (water or beings) and “Ayan” (resting place), symbolizing the divine who resides within all beings and creation. Scriptures like the Vishnu Purana and Bhagavata Purana describe His many incarnations, with Lord Krishna being the most complete manifestation.
Devotion to Narayan is said to remove sins of both past and present lives. Regular worship, especially on Thursdays, is believed to bring the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, ensuring prosperity and spiritual upliftment.
Chanting the Narayan Mantra daily leads to both material and spiritual upliftment. The vibration of “Om Namo Narayanaya” connects the devotee’s soul to the cosmic energy of preservation and protection. Lord Narayan blesses those who chant with devotion, leading them toward peace, prosperity, and ultimately, liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
